Getting there
The 3-day head race runs along the Charles River from Boston toward Newton; regatta headquarters are at Cambridge Boat Club on Gerry’s Landing Road. Spectators line the riverbank at spots including the Eliot Bridge and Weeks Footbridge; the organizer publishes course maps and viewing guidance on hocr.org.
About the event
Since 1965, the Head Of The Charles has drawn thousands of rowers and spectators to the Charles River each fall. It is one of the largest regattas in the world, with entries from juniors through elite and masters divisions.
