Getting there
The 3.2-mile course starts upstream at Washington’s Landing and finishes downstream near Point State Park where the Allegheny and Monongahela meet to form the Ohio River. Boats launch and return to Lambert Boathouse on Washington’s Landing; Millvale Training Center in Millvale Riverfront Park is also used per the organizer.
About the event
Head of the Ohio draws junior, masters, adaptive, and collegiate rowers from across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and southern Canada. The regatta highlights recreation along Pittsburgh’s riverfront with racing and shore-side activities.
