Getting there
Stamford Yacht Club sits on the Shippan Point waterfront in Stamford, Connecticut. The offshore race starts from the Stamford Harbor area on the Friday before Labor Day; confirm start details with the organizer. About the event
First run in 1932, the Vineyard Race is a Labor Day weekend offshore classic with full (238 nm), medium (143 nm), and short (116 nm) course options around Block Island and Buzzards Bay Light Tower. Stamford Yacht Club hosts the start and finish in Stamford Harbor.
